A crisis erupted within the Confederation of African Football (CAF) due to the broadcast of the draws for the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup on the air, as the two draws were supposed to take place in private, and then announce their results through the official “CAF” website.
A source within the Confederation of African Football “CAF” confirmed in exclusive statements to “Al-Watan Sport”, that the two draws were supposed to take place without broadcasting them at all, whether on social media or YouTube.
And the source continued: “But the company responsible for this matter caused this error after Link Live published the lottery without coordination with the officials, despite the notification that the live was not opened to the fans, the press and the media, and accordingly a crisis erupted after the end of the two lotteries between the responsible company and the officials of the Confederation of African Football.” .
Details of the African Champions League and Confederation Cup draws
The draws for the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup resulted in the following:
Al-Ahly faces in the round of 32 the winner of the Rwandan army and the Tunisian Union of Monastir.
Zamalek will face Elect Sport Chad in the first preliminary round “round of 64”, the first leg match in Chad and the second leg in Egypt.
